Located along the coastline of Kerala, South India, SKaSTA Ashram is nestled in a quite neighbourhood of Kovalam. Less than 200m away from the Lighthouse Beach, we are surrounded by a small community of homestays, hotels, restaurants, ayurvedic centers and family homes.

Kovalam is renowned for relaxed health focused tourism, ayurveda, and swimming friendly beaches.

During your free time, you can explore a variety of activities including swimming, surfing, back waters tours, and dolphin watching. The Ashram

The ashram is a serene "village in the village" located just 200 meters from the Lighthouse Beach, offering an ideal environment for self-discovery and wellness.

Surrounded by lush greenery and a small, friendly community of homestays and ayurvedic centers, it provides a peaceful retreat for relaxation and play. We have two roof top ocean view yoga shalas.

The tranquil setting, combined with fresh ocean breezes and soothing natural sounds, creates a perfect space for rejuvenation. Whether practicing yoga, enjoying holistic therapies, or simply unwinding, the ashram is a haven for those seeking a deeper connection with themselves and the world around.

Accommodation

We provide a “village in the village” with multiple 2 and 3 bedroom family properties which we are using for accommodation. All rooms have private bathrooms. Each home has a kitchen, shared living area, shaded sitting area, and roof top sitting area. We also provide meal programs.

For many of us, time at SKaSTA is an opportunity to be out of the city and in community. We want you to be able to take advantage of the richness of Kerala culture and landscape, so we have designed our programs and facilities to include time and space to exploring, study and practice. As a Tantric community we celebrate all expressions of life and invite you to join us to learn to celebrate all aspects of your life togehther.

Traditional Kerala Food

We are blessed to have Sajesh as our Facility Manager and main cook, who is passionate about traditional Kerala food. He has been cooking for over 15 years and has experience with local as well as international cuisine.

Light breakfast, full lunch and dinner will be provided 5 days a week. Our menue is dairy, processed food and meat free, always cooked with fresh and local ingredients.

What community Says

" I've always had a deep longing to unreavel this experience we call life and to dive deep into unknown spheres. Looking for answers to my questions and new perspectives on this reality, I visited SKaSTA for the first time in 2024 in Goa, for 5 weeks. I found myself deeply challenged by the teachings of traditional tantra and had to break down many structures build on shaky ground to start anew with a solid foundation. With other words - I got exactly what I was looking for and fell in love with the teachings and the system.

Having the foundation build and the tools in hand to stay grounded within me, I flew out into the world to play. Letting the seeds I planted during my time in the Ashram grow. My experience of the 5 weeks in India began to settle and I recognized the deep and fundamental impact my learnings and the asanas that I have taken back into my "everyday life", had. It truly is all a play. Experiencing how life resonates with the things that I have learned made me want to come back for another 5 weeks in 2025 to deepen my understanding and practise.

Now, I am happy to be part of the SKaSTA team and to help you get exactly what you want out of traditional tantra and your experience here at SKaSTA.
